Master of Science - Medical Dosimetry
University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, La Crosse, WI - Expected December 2015
This is my current program of study. The UWLAX program is a hybrid consisting of 16 months of intense online coursework and a 12-month clinical internship at a partner hospital. For the first purely didactic semester, I was still working at SCCA Proton Therapy as a Junior Dosimetrist, but in January 2015 I started my clinical internship at Loyola University Medical Center. You can keep track of my progress on my classes and my clinical achievements.

Master of Science - Management Information Systems
Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH - 2007
MIS is the functional end of the computer education spectrum. It covers the "why" as much as the "how" as it explores ways to implement successful systems to solve real-world problems.

Master of Business Administration
Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH - 2007
Concentration in Management Information Systems
Concentration in Technology Management
Every MBA is different. Besides the standard classes in accounting, finance, marketing, leadership, operations, and entrepreneurship, I was able to tune my MBA to track closely with my MS-MIS. There were only two classes in the MIS department that I didn't end up taking between the two degrees.

Bachelor of Science
Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH - 2007
Concentration in Management Information Systems
Minor in Computer Science
Minor in Visual Media
I usually don't list my undergrad major right away, because I feel that "Management" doesn't do justice to the scope of my coursework. I started my undergrad experience as a mechanical engineer before moving into computer science. I developed my interest in graphic arts with a build-your-own minor that included photography, desktop publishing, and multimedia. During my junior year I jumped ship from the engineering core to the management core, throwing away about 40 credit hours of hard science that no longer satisfied any graduation requirements. I realized that I wanted to study management information systems, which was offered through the business school rather than the engineering school. Unfortunately, over the years I've found that "Management" is shorthand for "not a technical person" in the mind of many people in scientific fields, which is where I feel most at home.
